Independence Day with DSSC
PARADE
WHAT: Peachtree City Independence Parade
Team attire is Red, White and Blue DSSC Tie-Dye OR DSSC Baseball Jerseys
WHEN: July 4, 2025 | Parade setup starts at 7:30 am in Peachtree City
Show Time: 7:30AM
Judging: 8:00AM
Start Time: 9:00AM
Finish: 10:00 (depends on where we start in the line of floats)
WHERE:
Parade Route: The parade begins at Village on the Green, travels up the Peachtree Parkway, and ends at Mcintosh Trail Recreation Center. Park at Huddleston Elementary (end of route) or Braelinn Elementary (start of route).
Parking: Peachtree Parkway in PTC (intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Robinson Road, parking at Braelinn Elementary or PTC Amphitheater). We won’t know our exact location until the morning of the parade as we have to check-in and proceed to our spot based on order of arrival. We will post our location that morning as soon as we have it.
WHY: Re-take our crown and win the parade float competition…and also for fitness and fun and friends.
WHO: DSSC members and families
POOL POTLUCK HANGOUT
WHAT: Pool Hangout, Potluck and Yard Games after the parade;
Bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and any yard games you might want to play while we hang
WHEN: July 4, 2025 | 1:00-4:00 pm
WHERE: The Hershey House (address on the app > Social tab)
WHY: Cool off, eat and have fun with friends
WHO: DSSC members and families
