What is Physical Therapy? Why Tori?
The aim of physical therapy is to return or optimize function to a muscle, movement pattern or some combination of the two. Overuse, asymmetries, acute or chronic pain can all be addressed with physical therapy. The method chosen depends on you and your current situation.
A hands-on approach is used to determine and address each case individually. It starts with an initial evaluation to determine the best course of action. This may include dry needling, cupping, manual therapy, massage, exercise prescription and form correction.
As a physical therapist with a CrossFit Level 1 and USA Weightlifting Level 1, who is active at DSSC, Tori is in a unique position to address limitations and help members of this specific community. With access to the programming, coaching staff and onsite treatment availability, Tori knows what your training consists of and can quickly address issues that otherwise could take weeks.

Tori met her husband in physical therapy school and spent 3 years after graduation traveling the country, working as a physical therapist in a variety of settings. She has spent most of her career in outpatient orthopedic clinics, working with patients of all ages.
Starting at an early age, Tori developed a love for sports, participating in volleyball, basketball, softball, flag football, ultimate frisbee and even cheerleading. In 2014, she quickly fell in love with the sport of CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. After moving to Fayette County, she joined Dirty South and immediately became plugged in to the community. She has a passion for helping others return to the sport they love, without pain or risk for further injury.
